Typ II
- bei Handlungen, die theoretisch noch möglich sind, aber sehr unwahrscheinlich
- Handlungen, die nicht mit Sicherheit stattfinden können (I am not sure, it is uncertain...)

anderer Teil: would
if ... simple past + would (Inifinitiv)
If I won the lottery, I would buy a huge house.
I would buy a huge house, if I won the lottery.
If he studied a lot, he __ (to pass) the test. -
If he studied a lot, he would pass the test.

Typ III
- Handlungen oder Ereignisse, die nicht mehr stattfinden können

had + 3. Form (been, seen, learned)
