Open system - Answer-Boundaries are partially permeable so there is a free exchange
of matter/energy/ information; there is an ability to build up and break down [Ex: humans
have this system which is why nurses have the ability to promote health]

Closed system - Answer-Boundaries are impermeable so that energy is unable to enter
and exit; eventually the energy is used up and the system becomes disorganized. [Ex: a
rock can absorb moisture and freezes]

environment through its boundaries.
