What is work done to overcome friction transferred as? - Answers -Thermal energy
stores of the objects that rub together and to the surroundings by heating

What happens to the gravitational potential energy store of an object if it is lifted up or
down? - Answers -- If lifted up, GPE increases. This increase is equal to the work done
