Liver tests may be abnormal
Diagnosis is made by meeting these criteria:
Fever for at least 5 days
4 of these 5 conditions must be met
- Mucous membrane changes such as red tongue
and dry fissured lips
- Swelling of hands and feet.
- Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck
- Diffuse red rash covering most of
the body.
- Redness of eyes.
o Illness cannot be explained by any known disease
process.
