Description of Procedure
Instruments are used to continously record the heartbeat of the fetus and the contractions of
the woman's uterus during labor
Indications CONSIDERATIONS
-Following rupture of membranes, spontaneously or
artificially. Nursing Interventions (pre, intra, post)
-Preceding and subsequent to ambulation -Preparation of the client:

medication or analgesia -Palpate the uterine fundus to determine the size, lie,
