Planning the football event!
The event that we have planned was an external event which means there are different
schools were involved in this event and not just college therefor we had a partnership with
other organisations (different schools)! Our Teacher made contact with different schools
and told that at Lakes College there will be and a football event held. Which the teacher got
the reply backs from different schools and then we knew how many schools were coming to
our event exactly. Which allowed us to prepare for the event because we informed on how
many teams there will be.
Starting with an organisation the event, I was the manager of the event and I made a
presentation on the way the event will be running or the way it could run. Because I was
really open to other ideas that other people had when I presented it to them. So that we
could make the event as best as possible. By improving on it by improving little details that I
may have missed out or the area’s that could get improved. Such what equipment everyone
will need when the event is happening I have missed out but thanks to the team we were
able to spot it and eliminate the problem.
So I started with Roles I have given everyone roles, so when it comes to the event they will
know what they must do because they have jobs given out. Once they got their roles they
ended up having their own responsibility that they must deal with and do. For example
Referee’s they needed to know their role so they needed to learn basic rules and regulations
so when they are referring the game they will know what they are doing. Which this will
allow them to carry out the game safely and effectively. Because they will know what to do
because they have read the instructions that were given.
Conner had one very reasonable role that is the main thing, this allows the event to happen,
he was involved with the scoring table so at the end when the games are finished for
example when the schools are playing against each other, we can announce the winners
later on because we will know how won the most games and how played against how
because he structured the games. Also, the announcer has two roles at the start making
sure to greet everyone and towards the end as well. Also, Conner and Alex very helped full
and they have made cards for referees so that they can write down the scores when they
are playing against each team.
Chloe and Sarah were in charge of the certificates they made them so that the children at
the end can get rewards for taking participation in the event which will make them happy
because they are getting reward also the winner of the football event. Praise them and
thank them for coming to our event.
We also have designed the 3G pitch we made the smaller pitches thinking about the
children that will take the part in the event because the full quarter pitches will be too big
so we have made the pitch smaller so that they could play better and made sure to get a
size 3 ball because it is much lighter and the children can kick the ball better than the other
ball because it would be and too heavy which will not allow them to kick the ball as far. So
that they could play better all of this is made so that the sport can be adapted for their age
