48, Anchorage (AK), and Oahu (HI) to most addresses in the US 48 and limited
addresses in Alaska, including Anchorage.
Next Day Air (1DA)
Guaranteed next-business-day delivery FROM and TO most addresses in the US 50
and Puerto Rico, with some limitations in Alaska and Hawaii.
Next Day Air Saver (1DP)
Guaranteed next-business-day delivery from most addresses in the US 48 and limited
addresses in Alaska and Hawaii to most addresses in the US 48.
2nd Day Air AM (2DM)
Guaranteed morning second-business-day delivery from most commercial addresses in
the US 48 to most commercial destinations in the US 48.
2nd Day Air (2DA)

Guaranteed early-morning, day-definite delivery for international shipments from
more than 65 countries and territories to 30 countries and territories, including major
cities in Canada, Europe, and Asia.
Worldwide Express (ES)
Guaranteed morning delivery times in one to three days for international shipments
from more than 185 countries and territories to 45 countries and territories.
Worldwide Saver (Express) (SV)
Guaranteed afternoon delivery times in one to three days for international shipments
from more than 185 countries and territories to 215 countries and territories.
Worldwide Expedited (EX)
Guaranteed economical delivery for less urgent international shipments FROM and TO
more than 60 countries and territories.
Standard (ST)
Guaranteed economical ground delivery for less urgent shipments FROM and TO all
Canadian provinces and the US 48.
Additional Handling (AH)
An AH charge will be assessed for any package that requires special handling
because of weight, length, width, or packaging. Applies per package. For a package
that meets multiple AH criteria, only one AH charge will be assessed in the following
order: weight, length, width, packaging. An AH charge will not be assessed when a
Large Package Surcharge is applied.

1) Any package with an actual weight of more than 70 pounds, 2) Each package in a
shipment where the average weight per package is greater than 70 pounds AND the
weight for each package is not specified on the source document.
Additional Handling (Length)
Any package with the longest side exceeding 48 inches.
Additional Handling (Width)
Any package with its second-longest side exceeding 30 inches.
Additional Handling (Packaging)
1) Any article that is not fully encased in corrugated cardboard, 2) Any cylindrical-
like item, such as a tire, that is not fully encased in a corrugated cardboard shipping
container, 3) Any package routed through UPS's irregular package sortation process,
4) Any other package that requires special handling as determined by UPS.
Address Correction
If any shipment has an incorrect or incomplete address, UPS will make reasonable
efforts to secure the correct address, and an Address Correction charge will be
assessed to the shipper.
Chargeback for Consignee Billing Shipments
In the event of non-payment by the consignee or third party, the original shipper will
be billed a refusal fee in addition to the shipping charges.
Delivery Area Surcharge (DAS)
A surcharge applied to each package delivered to certain ZIP Codes within the 48
contiguous states. DAS does not apply to UPS Ground with Freight Pricing or Simple
Rate shipments. The four types of DAS are Commercial, Commercial Extended,
Residential, and Residential Extended.
