American Dream
Many people like to come to the USA, and many of them come here to
study further in their field, while others come here to find better
opportunities for their careers. For many years, the United States of America
has been the first choice for immigrants. Like some people, my family and I
immigrated here to get a better education and a better job for my sister. As I
said before, people choose the USA not only for these two reasons but also
for many economic reasons that they might have in their country or because
of the ongoing war. All the people who immigrate here or to another country
have some sort of dream that they want to achieve in their life. Furthermore,
that same dream is what my mother wants to achieve. For us, it is to receive
a good education, a better life, and better health services.
Firstly, we migrated here is a better education. Even though education
in India is marvelous. Education in the USA is preferred. Many friends of mine
told me that after finishing college, they have a problem getting a job in their
respective fields. My friend, Deep, told me that finding a job in the
engineering field is very difficult to find. The cause of this is because the
studies they have done were nothing compared to their in-field experience,
almost all companies ask for experience, but without getting a job after
finishing their studies, how are they going to get the experience if nobody
gives them a job? It was not a problem for me because I finished my
education, and the next month my family and I moved here to the USA. My
sister has completed her master’s in computer applications in India, yet the
outcome is that she had a problem finding a job in her field. However, we
came here, and in a few months, we both found jobs easily. It was not in our
respective fields, but we at least found a job. My uncle, who has been here in
the United States of America for more than 20 years, told me that after I
finish my studies here, I will have better job opportunities, not just here but
anywhere I go. He told me that the education system in the USA is quite
famous around the world, among all the American dreams, I guess getting a
better education is the most important one for me.
Secondly, we have a better life than what we had in India. I remember
clearly that my parents didn’t have that much money to put us in a good
school because they didn’t even finish high school and they got married.
