bulletin and the FAA decides if it becomes an AD or not. It is similar to a recall on a
car.


PURPOSE & PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT (PHAK 9-12) -
ANSWER - A special flight permit is a special airworthiness certificate allowing
operation of an aircraft that is not airworthy but is still capable of a specific safe
flight. To obtain a special flight permit forms many be obtained through the FSDO
(flight standards district office). Must be flown to a station for repairs, or for
delivery, or removing an aircraft out of danger.
