BASICS TO PHILOSPHY THINKING:
- Not about empirical stuff (data); non-consistent, non-experimental
(sensual), & adjusts to life. You can never measure it!
- Philosophy is imperial Ex. Meaning of life, morality, religion, right vs.
Wrong, political stances
- They are your important what ifs of the world.
For example ----> The definition of a chair.
PREMISES & CONCLUSIONS:
1. All cows are mammals
2. Chad is a cow
3. So, Bessie is a mammal
- A normal sense of what premises and conclusions is.
1. All cows have three eyes
2. Chad is a cow
3. Chad has three eyes
- Now cows DO NOT have three eyes. But this is still valid as the
premises and conclusion follow through proving it to be valid but not
true.
1. All cows are mammals
2. Chad is a mammal
3. Chad is a whale
- Counter example: An individual makes an example to counter the
original agruement.
