Um ein elektrische Gerät (Verbraucher) zu betreiben, müssen beide Ausschlüsse des Geräts mit den
beiden Polen der elektrischen Energiequelle (Stromquelle) verbunden werden. Diese
Zusammenschaltung heißt Stromkreis.

Bsp. Für elektrische Energiequellen:
Batterien, Generator, Steckdose, Akkumulator

Voraussetzung für elektrischen Stromfluss:
- bewegliche Ladungsträger
- elektrisches Feld (Spannungsquelle)

Elektrische Leiter
Stoffe, die den elektrischen Strom leiten
Bsp. : Salzwasser, Metalle (Fe, Al, Cu, Ag, Au), Graphit

Isolatoren
Stoffe, die den elektrischen Strom nicht(schlecht) leiten.
Bsp.: Holz, Kunststoff, Seide, Gummi, dest. Wasser, Luft
