Main Content (MC) - Answer. Any part of the page that directly contributes to the
page's purpose. It can be text, photographs, videos, page features (e.g., calculators,
games), or user-generated material such as videos, reviews, articles, and so on,
which people have added or submitted to the website. Section 2.4.1.
Webmasters have direct control over the page's main content, except user-generated
content.
Supplementary Content (SC): ANSWER Contributes to a positive user experience
on the page, but does not directly help the page achieve its goal. This type of
material is managed by webmasters and is an essential component of the user
experience.
Ads may add to a positive user experience.
Advertisements/Monetization (Ads) - ANSWER Content and/or links published
with the intention of monetizing (making money from) the page. The presence or
absence of this type of content does not automatically result in a High- or
Low-quality grade.
Some webpages would not exist without advertising and monetization because it
costs money to operate a website and provide high-quality content.
Webmasters may not always have direct control over the content of the
advertisements.
