Specific- Goals should focus on one aspect of performance so it is
clear if the goal has been met or not. The goals should be aimed at
the specific needs of the athlete.
Measurable- Any goals should be able to be measured so progress
can be tracked.
Achieveable- The coach and athlete should agree on goals that are
realistic but challenging for the athelete to achieve at their ability.
Realistic- The goal should be realistic for the given period of time
the athlete has to reach the goal.
Timed- There must be a time-limit on completing the goal
Evaluate- The athlete should compare their goals with their
previous results and track their progress
Re-do- The athlete should try again and attempt the goal if they
don’t achieve it the first time
