ENGLISH PROFICIENCY IN WRITING SAMPLE TEST
The writing portion assesses your written English skills. There are two parts to this
section.
Part One: You will have 5 minutes to read a passage and 20 minutes to compose a
paragraph describing it. You may take notes while reading and use them to compose
your summary.
Part 2: You have 35 minutes to plan and compose your essay.
PART ONE: SUMMARY WRITING (40 pts)
