Aerosols - ANS-Pesticides that are mixed in a pressurized can that are ready to spray

Agricultural Commodity - ANS-An unprocessed product. Including fruits, vegetables,
grains, trees grown for lumber, etc.

Application block - ANS-a field or portion of a field that has been treated in a 24 hour
period. This is identified by visible indicators, maps, or other means.

Baits - ANS-Pesticide that is mixed in with material that will attract pests

Botanicals - ANS-Pesticides derived from plants.

Buffer Zone - ANS-an area around an application block that has restricted actives.

Carbamates - ANS-broad-spectrum pesticide, including carbaryl (Sevin)
widely used and are less persistent than chlorinated hydrocarbons, but still can affect
the nervous system and cause birth defects
Derived from nerve gas, but less toxic

Chemigation - ANS-Pesticide application through irrigation system.

Chlorinated Hydrocarbons - ANS-pesticide including DDT (illegal in US), chlordane,
lindane endosulfan, and mirex
are broad-spectrum insecticides that have been banned or restricted in many countries
because they cause cancer and birth defects
Biomagnifies and bioaccumulates
Suspected carcinogen & endocrine disruptor
Does not break down easily in the environment

Early Entry - ANS-Entering a treated field before the REI has expired.

Emulsifiable concentrate - ANS-Made of "technical materials" that do not dissolve in
water alone. You need a solvent to have it mix with water. An oil solvent or emulsifier
agent (like soap) is added with water, it will dissolve and become usable

Enclosed Cab - ANS-A chemical resistant barrier that completely surrounds an
applicator that prevents dermal exposure. (

Engineered Rights-of-way - ANS-Areas within groundwater protection areas that are
constructed to increase runoff and collection of storm water.

Field postings for REI of 7 days or more must include...on top of the normal requirments
