1. Identify the Earth’s layers (air, water, land).
2. create a model of the earth using modeling clay
3. Name the Earth’s continents and oceans (basic recognition).

6. Use the following vocabulary related to the Earth’s parts: air, water, land, continent, island (basic understanding).
7. Differentiate between land and water on a globe or map.
8. recognize parts of the earth on the globe or in pictures
9. recognize the colors of continents, air, water and islands.
10.mark continents, oceans and islands on a map
Materials:
An inflatable globe
Playdough in three different colors (blue, green, and white)
Worksheet with a blank globe outline (one per student)
