Support your discussion with two examples for each.

2.1 Differences between Literal Meaning and Figurative Meaning

Literal Meaning:

, Definition: Literal meaning refers to the exact, dictionary definition of a word or phrase,
where the meaning is straightforward and does not involve any interpretation beyond
the words themselves.

Examples:

Literal Example 1: "The sky is blue."
Here, "the sky is blue" means exactly what it says—the color of the sky is blue.
Literal Example 2: "She is reading a book."
This means that a person is physically engaged in the act of reading a book.

Figurative Meaning:

Definition: Figurative meaning involves using words or phrases in a way that conveys
a symbolic or metaphorical meaning, often different from their literal definition. It adds
depth and creativity to language.
Examples:
Figurative Example 1: "The world is your oyster."
This means that there are many opportunities available to you, not that the world is
literally an oyster.
Figurative Example 2: "She has a heart of gold."
This means that she is very kind and generous, not that her heart is literally made of
gold.

2.2 Why Learners Need to Rewrite a Text Many Times
Learners need to rewrite a text multiple times for several important reasons:

Improvement of Clarity and Precision:

The initial draft often contains raw ideas and can be disorganized.
Subsequent Rewrites: Each rewrite helps to refine these ideas, making the text
clearer and more precise. It allows learners to organize their thoughts better and
ensure that their message is communicated effectively.
Identification and Correction of Errors:

Rewriting provides an opportunity to catch and correct grammatical, spelling, and
punctuation errors. Which is proofreading
It also helps in verifying facts and ensuring the accuracy of the information presented.

Enhancement of Style and Tone:

Rewriting allows learners to improve the overall style and tone of their writing, making it
more engaging and appropriate for the intended audience.
Consistency: Ensures a consistent tone and voice throughout the text.

Depth of Analysis and Insight:
Critical Thinking: Each revision encourages deeper analysis and critical thinking about
the topic, leading to more insightful and comprehensive content.
Elaboration: Allows learners to expand on ideas and provide more detailed evidence or
examples.

Feedback Incorporation:
