Our Activity and how I think it went

The activity that we had planned and presented was a series of mini activities
which were Christmas themed due to the presentation being in December.
The name of the activity was ‘The Not So Silent Night’ which was held on the
7th of December in the college sports hall, as the starter we did a Christmas
limbo. Before everyone entered the hall two team members held up a long
piece of tinsel at the entrance of the door whilst another team member was
welcoming everyone, the class was required to participate in order to get
inside and the reason why we did this is to set a positive and happy
environment before the activity actually began. We then sat everyone down
and introduced the activity and explained what was about to happen, the
participants were asked to pick out a piece of ribbon from a hat which would
determine their team members for the rest of the activity, we decided a
random choice would be best as this would encourage people to work with
people they may not usually work which would encourage group cohesion
skills. Once everyone had a team we split into two, mine and Tom’s group
went to the other side of the sports hall whilst Millie and Mia stayed to do the
first activity which is ‘What’s Santa been thinking?’ and this is a Christmas
themed Pictionary. We used the whiteboards provided in the hall and one
member of the two teams was asked to draw the object/song that they had
picked out from a hat and the first team to guess what the object/song
receives a point. This was done for 3 rounds and the overall winner of the two
teams now plays against the overall winner of the other two teams for
another 3 rounds to earn as many points as possible. The second activity was
‘How many balls are in Santa’s sack’ and the aim of this activity was for each
team to throw as many balls as possible into a tinsel wrapped hoop, this
eventually got harder as we moved the hoops further away each time and
each time a ball went through the hoop the team earned a point. After this we
handed out pre-printed letters which everyone had to fill out and then fold
into paper airplanes which were then thrown across the sports hall, first,
second and third planes which went the furthest won points for their team.
Our third activity was called naughty or nice and this consisted of one
member from each team putting their hand into a stocking and then
describing it to the rest of the team, first team to guess the object wins points
for their team, every team member got a chance to feel an object as we had
three rounds of this. Finally, our last activity was a relay race which we called
the Bauble and spoon race, it was an obstacle course which an individual had
to run holding a spoon with a bauble, if the bauble was dropped a three
second penalty was given, the first team to have all their team members
finish the obstacle course wins and earns points. This race was done twice,
with the second round being hard by having to run backwards rather than
