Lidocaine IV 1.5mg/kg up to 3 mg/kg Infiltration - Leakage of fluid into tissue Stop IV and start a new one Hematoma - Blood leakage Pressure first then moist heat Phlebitis - 1. inflammation of a vein 2. Treatment: elevation and NSAIDS Treatment of intra-arterial injection - 1. Activate EMS 2. Do NOT remove catheter 3. 10cc 1% Lidocaine withOUT epi 4. Ice pack to limb Treatment of severe hypoglycemia - 1. Activate EMS
