types of these, but the most commonly used are batch, interactive and real-time.

Modes of operation - ANS-How a processing system operates. Most common are batch,
interactive and real-time. The decision about which mode(s) should be used are made
during the design phase of the life cycle. The operating system will then manage the
functioning of the mode that is being used.

Batch processing - ANS-Processes batches of data at regular intervals. Usually process
a large amount of data, with the data being of identical type. Could be used to produce
utility bills, bank statements or payroll data.

and receiving the output.
