P5 M3 LONG HAUL DESTINATIONS
Task 1- Itinerary
To give you some experience in preparing tours for clients, your line manager would like you to:
Plan a multi-centre long-haul tour to meet the UK visitor profile given below, showing sources used.
Your tour will match the needs of a given brief and must contain at least four centres (a centre being a main stop within the itinerary). Your tour should be presented as an itinerary to include transport arrangements to and from the UK, and between centres. It should also include details of accommodation to be used en-route and at each centre, any car hire, excursions or trips pre-booked as well as a summary of the attractions and events available to the visitor at each centre. It is not necessary to cost the tour in full, but cost must be considered when choosing appropriate accommodation and transport. When planning your tour you must use a wide variety of reference sources and provide a bibliography listing your sources.
You must independently plan the detailed multi-centre tour, clearly justifying selections for the visitor profile.
You must justify the choices you have made for all aspects of the planned tour to reflect the requirements set out in the visitor profile
