EL ROMANTICISMO
Surgió como una reacción contra el racionalismo y la rigidez del Neoclasicismo y la Revolución
Industrial de finales del siglo XVlll hasta mediados del siglo XlX.


Caracteristicas principales

Emociones y sentimientos→ El romanticismo destaca las emociones y los sentimientos sobre la
razón y la lógica.

Naturaleza→ La naturaleza se ve como una fuente de belleza, inspiración y poder. A menudo se
presenta como algo salvaje y/o sublime.

Individualismo→ Foco en la individualidad y la subjetividad del ser humano. El “yo” es central en
la expresión artística.

Imaginación y fantasia→ Se valora la creatividad y la capacidad de soñar. Lo fantástico y lo
sobrenatural son temas comunes.

Exaltación del pasado→ Intereés por la Edad Media, lo exótico y lo histórico. Se idealiza el
pasado como un tiempo de pureza y nobleza.

Rebeldía→ Actitud desafiante ante las normas y convenciones sociales, políticas y literarias. El
héroe romántico a menudo se comporta como un rebelde solitario.

Misticismo y espiritualidad→ Interés por lo espiritual, lo misterioso y lo desconocido.
