Ethics for Ontario Paralegals Exam Practice Questions and Answers Good Character Hearings - Answer️️ -A part of the paralegal licensing process, in which the applicant has the opportunity to explain past misconduct and prove that they are of good character. If denied, the applicant can request a second hearing on the basis of fresh evidence or a material change in circumstances. Good Faith - Answer️️ -Making legitimate and honest efforts to meet one's obligations, and not to mislead others. Conflict of Interest - Answer️️ -When there is a substantial risk that a paralegal's loyalty to a client would be materially and adversely affected by another interest. If an outside interest compromises a paralegal's ability to represent a client, the paralegal must either withdraw from representation or withdraw from the outside interest.
