Positionality, Emotionality, Primality
Authenticity of Positionality
An artist must position themselves as an authentic Calypso group or gansta rap group. If they try to
break out of that mold or "sell-out" then they may lose a lot of their fans (ex. Baha Men)
Authenticity of Emotionality
People want to hear something connected to spirituality; even if they may not experience the
spirituality themselves they want to feel connected to it (ex. Gregorian chants)
Authenticity of Primality
ancientness, old traditional music gives a ground to rely on
