Analysis/Assessment, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. Assessment Center - ANSWER a wide variety of specific selection programs that use multiple methods to rate incumbents on their management potential. May incorporate in-basket exercises, role-play, problem solving, etc. Needs Analysis - ANSWER Form of program evaluation that occurs before a program begins and determines whether the program is needed. Can include: Focus Groups, Reviewing Documents, Advisory Committees, etc. Bloom's Taxonomy - ANSWER An Educational theory that says all training programs should have 1 of 3 types of goals/outcomes: COGNITIVE (learn knew knowledge, comprehension, thinking skills, etc.), AFFECTIVE (emotional and empathy. EX: Class on cultural awareness or EQ.), PSYCHOMOTOR (goal to teach participants to use a tool, handle instruments, operate machines, etc.) 3 Types of Learners - ANSWER Kinesthetic (hands on), Visual (See it to get it, Ex: medical surgery), and Verbal Learner (Hear or Talk about it to learn...not great at reading though. Ex: HR Pros). Experiential Learning - ANSWER Learning that takes place when students actually experience and then reflect on their learning. (Role-Play, simulations, Learn by performing). Action Learning - ANSWER Training in which teams get an actual problem, work on uestions and Answers
