Mark Scheme for A-Level Psychology Paper 3 Androcentrism - A male-centered view of the world that judges male behavior as the norm and female behavior as abnormal. Gender bias - The extrapolation of findings from one gender to another, without using both male and female participants in research. Determinism - The belief that behavior is determined by factors such as biology or environment, with no free will. Levels of explanation - Different levels of analysis in psychology, ranging from reductionism to holism. Self-disclosure - The act of revealing personal information about oneself to another person, which can increase attractiveness and closeness. Absorption addiction model - An explanation for parasocial relationships, where individuals become preoccupied with and addicted to a celebrity. Gender dysphoria - The inconsistency between assigned gender and the psychological perception of self, causing distress. Biological explanations -Explanations for gender dysphoria based on genetic, hormonal, or brain structure differences.
