What is ionizing radiation?
- a radiation emitted from an unstable
nuclei (alpha, beta and gamma particles)
- When it passes through matter,
chemical bonds will break which leads to
the production of charged ions.

- it is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. It
energy is well suited for medical applications
- it is produced when high-speed electrons sto
