1. state: State is a centralized political organization that imposes and
enforces rules over a population within a territory and is legally
independent of external control(soveriegn). it has its own institutions
and populations, as well as its own territory and government.

2.Nation:nation is is an imagined community made up of people who
share certain characteristics such as a common ancestry, language,
religion, ethnicity and history

3.nation-state A nation-state is an independent state ruled by the
citizens who call themselves a nation that is the one in which the
majority of its citizens, and not only its rulers, came to develop a sense
of common identity and shared history or descent.A nation-state may
be contrasted with

 A multinational state, where no one ethnic group dominates

 An empire, which is composed of many countries (possibly
non-sovereign states) and nations under a single monarch or
ruling state government.

 the difference between a nation state and moden state

Nation states emerged after overthrowing monarchy and dynasty rule
in Europe.In a nation state, citizens came to develop a common identity
based on shared language, traditions and cutoms

, While modern states are ruled by a centralised power and authority.
In modern states, people speaking different languages, following
various traditions and cultures live together. Nations states have now
developed as modern states.

4.Republic: A state in which supreme power is held by the people and
their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated
Political head rather than a monarch.

5.Nationalism is an ideology that emphasizes loyalty, devotion, or
allegiance to a nation or nation-state and holds that such obligations
outweigh other individual or group interests

6. utopia is an ideal society, that is a place of ideal perfection especially
in laws, government, and social conditions.

7.Absolutist, literally a government or system of rule that has no
restraints on the power exercised. In history, the term refers to a form
of monarchical government that was centralised, militarised and
repressive



3.the difference between a nation and a state

 A nation is a group of people with a common language, history,
culture, and (usually) geographic territory

 A state is an association of people characterized by formal
institutions of government, including laws; permanent territorial
boundaries; and sovereignty (political independence)

A state may comprise one or more nations (as did the Roman Empire

, and Austria-Hungary), and a nation may be represented in (or ruled by)
one or more (usually contiguous) states, as in the early modern
principalities of Germany

renamed the National Assembly
