Provided equal funding for men and women in athletic programs 1980's - ANSWER -Era of changing public policy. Included women in biomedical research. Women's health equity act enacted to fund women's health research. 21st century - ANSWER -Identification of the human genome. Inclusion of children in clinical trials. Patient protection and affordable care act to extend health insurance.
