Najaf Abbas Unit33-P6 Jumana Abbas

In the following task I will be describing how the UK Government supports E-business. I will
be writing about things such as laws that have been put into place to protect E-business, these
laws that I will describe are laws like the data protection act 1998.

In January 2009 the government published a Digital Britain. This report consisted of
information which explained that the government wanted to update on Britain E market. In
the report the five objectives were…

 To modernise and upgrade the wireless, wired and broadcasting framework to keep
Britain in a digital economy.
 Secure a range of high quality public service content which would particularly be the
news.
 Provide a decent financial rank for investment for innovation in digital content,
applications and services.
 Develop digital skills for Britain at all levels.
 Secure universal access of broadband and also to use broadband to deliver high
quality of public services effectively and efficiently.

The British government has been implementing these rules on E-business, in last four years
the government has achieved most of the aim for example “To modernise and upgrade the
wireless, wired and broadcasting framework to keep Britain in a digital economy” for
example if we look at Barclays online banking which is run wireless on networking and
saved on the server with the business. Since 2009 the E- business has been turning out to be
every beneficial in UK as this can be proven by this can be proven by looking at the statistics
of consumers before 2009 and after.
As well as that the government is finding ways to trains the people who are making they first
steps in E business. For example the government provide them with resources which tells
them what could be done and what couldn’t for example
the resources are like a book of law on E business which
tells them what to do and what not.

This website is resource to those people who are startng they
business online.

Legalisation framework- These are the laws that the
government have put into place for the consumers and
customers, the laws have been designed to help both
parties to be protected. The laws I will be explaining are
followed by the businesses and the consumers.
