The process utilized in selecting them was purposive sampling, where the researchers intentionally selected participants based on certain criteria. The researchers contacted 140 teachers from 10 schools in the Limpopo province and 28 teachers who met the inclusion criteria were selected for the study. Additionally, the objective is to understand the factors that influence teachers' attitudes towards the use of corporal punishment, such as personal beliefs, cultural norms, and institutional policies. The findings of this study will contribute to the development of policies and interventions aimed at promoting positive behavior management strategies in South African schools
