By sensitizing the patient to leptin or triggering it’s activity in the brain, the patient would feel fuller and eat less. Ghrelin stimulates the hunger center as it deactivates the satiety center. The drug company could block ghrelin and decrease the feeling of hunger so the patient’s eat less.
