Support:
o The skeleton gives the body support by enabling us to stand, the bones of the body are held together
by ligaments. The skeleton provides a framework for the muscles which are attached to the bones by
tendons
o The footballer’s skeleton gives him support, to enable him to stand, the skeleton provides a
framework for his muscles which are attached to his bones and allow him to kick the ball
Posture:
o The skeleton acts as a framework and muscles are firmly attached to bones forming our body shape
that holds us up
o The gymnast uses her posture to be able to balance and hold her back in a split leap
