Middle-Range Nursing Theories
A nursing theory encompasses a collection of concepts, definitions, relationships, and assumptions or propositions originating from nursing models or interdisciplinary sources. Its primary aim is to offer a purposeful and systematic framework for comprehensively viewing phenomena in nursing. By establishing specific interconnections among concepts, nursing theories serve the purposes of describing, explaining, predicting, and/or prescribing aspects of nursing practice. They guide the delivery of nursing care within the nursing process, directing practitioners based on how conceptual frameworks and theories define the person (patient), the environment, health, and the role of nursing
