Research is defined as a process whereby
situational factors around the problem are
intensively investigated and analysed to provide an
evidence-based solution (Cavana, Delahaye and
Sekaran, 2001). In conducting research, new
information/insights or relationships can be
discovered for a specific research purpose.
2.Purpose of research
To describe the phenomenon (nature of
objects).
To explain relationships between variables.
To predict phenomena, such as customer
behaviour.
