TIME: 2 hours plus 30 minutes reading and upload time.



MARKS: 100 Marks

INSTRUCTIONS: Please note that you have 15 minutes reading time, followed by 2 hours
for writing the exam. Your last 15 minutes is to make sure you submit
your exam paper punctually.

No late submissions will be accepted. The Assignment Tab on Vula will
close at 10h30 sharp.

Each student has to answer on the answer sheet provided.


The paper includes two sections. BOTH sections and ALL THE
QUESTIONS in each must be answered.

Each answer must be typed using the following format: Arial, font size
12 with single spacing.

Your e-copy should be submitted to Vula in a single Word document.

Each student must provide their PeopleSoft and cell number on the cover
sheet.


Any form of copying and pasting is strictly prohibited.

, Plagiarism is prohibited. Any suspicion of alleged plagiarism will be
investigated and, if/where necessary, be dealt with in the strictest sense.
This is not a research assignment. You are not expected to use quotes,
footnotes or references when providing an answer, and you will not
receive any marks for doing so. A bibliography is not required. Ensure
that you substantiate (support) your answers, where appropriate, with
case authority and/or references to appropriate legal rules or statutes.

Your exam assessment MUST be submitted via the Assignment Tab
on Vula. See the instructions below.

In the event that you have any difficulty in uploading your
assessment, you have to email it to . You would
have to do so as soon as you have completed your assessment
and/or by 10h30 on 24 NOVEMBER 2020. If you email your
assessment, you need to provide legitimate reasons and supporting
documentation as to why it was emailed and not uploaded to the
Assignment tab on Vula.


Your answers MUST be uploaded on the Assignment Tab before 10h30
on 24 NOVEMBER 2020. Extra time students, if you have 10 minutes
per hour then you need to upload by 10h55, if you have 15 minutes
per hour then you need to upload by 11h08.

TIPS:
 A good answer depends on, among other things, careful planning and a sound structure.
 Work out how much time can be spent on each question so that you do not run out of
time.
 Identify the relevant content for a question – relevance is key to a good answer!
 Less is more – answer by formulating short, concise sentences and paragraphs. A good
rule of thumb is to avoid compound sentences (with more than one verb) and to limit
your sentence length to no more than one-and-a-half typed lines per sentence.
 Repeating the facts of a question verbatim is irrelevant and a waste of time.
 Remember to answer the question – avoid simply giving information.
