Title: Receptionist Location: Colne Road, Reedley, Burnley BB10 2LW
Description of Pendleside hospice: Pendleside Hospice has a busy team that
helps to promote and improve the quality of life for people with illnesses that are life-
limiting, their families and carers; by delivering care that is quality but also giving
these people a sense of commitment. The care provided is carefully planned and
monitored continually to make sure that the care given is the most effective and most
appropriate to the current situation. Pendleside Hospice ensures confidentiality is a
priority to its users, their families, and their carers.
Purpose of the job: To provide an effective and efficient administrative support
service to all staff within Pendleside Hospice. To be responsible for the day-to-day
efficient running of the reception area at the hospice.
Main tasks:
1. Meeting and greeting clients
2. Booking meetings
3. Arranging travel if necessary
4. Keeping reception tidy
5. Answering and forwarding calls
6. Ensuring equipment is set up for meetings
7. Distributing and sorting post
Standards required:
The college is looking for someone who can work flexibly and manage personal
workload effectively, as well as being able to work effectively within a team. Previous
experience of working in a similar role is recommended but not necessary. Any
previous experience of working with volunteers would also be beneficial.
Pay and benefits:
The pay will be £10,891 a year, hours of work and holiday is to be discussed during
the interview.
