There is agood supply of grocery stores chains in the area, such as HEB and Walmart, and only one naturalfoods grocery store that emphasizes organic fruit and fresh produce, plus several local ethnicgrocery stores within each larger town. Farmers markets rotate through most of the cities/townswith at least one per week during the growing season.The food banks are mostly staffed by charity- or ministry- based non-profit groups, and mostoffer a hot meal and bag lunches. Several facilities offer hot showers and laundry supplies plusreferral services for more community resources.
