GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE EXAM PUBLIEKRECHT II
The exam is divided in two parts of equal importance: international law and European law.
Please formulate precise answers to the questions. Do not make the answers longer than
necessary. Needless digressions will result in a lower score. Provide support for your
answers and always mention the relevant case law and articles in legislation or Treaties. Do
not refer to the answers to other questions.
The maximum duration of this examination is 3h. You have 1h25mins for each part of the
exam. There will be a 10 minutes break to make the transition between the two parts of the
exam.
No electronic devices are allowed.
At the start of the exam, please write your name and the academic year on each
examination sheet.
SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PART OF EUROPEAN LAW
The part of the examination that relates to European law is a closed book exam: you may
only use a hard- or paperback version of the EU Treaties. The faculty regulations
regarding the use of annotations apply.
In accordance with art. 108 of the ‘KU Leuven regulations on education and examinations’,
students are allowed to answer the questions in Dutch if they so wish.
The part of the examination that relates to European law consists of 1 question with 3 sub-
questions. The 3 sub-questions all have the same weight.
For each sub-question you have approximately 4 pages in order to formulate your answers.
This is a generous amount of space.
This bundle has 13 numbered pages. Please check before you start whether your bundle has
the correct number of pages.
GOOD LUCK!
