QUARTER 1
GRADE 11 (ABM, GAS, HUMSS, STEM) GENERAL MATHEMATICS
I. OBJECTIVES
a. Content Standard
The learners demonstrate an understanding of key concepts of functions.
b. Performance Standard
The learners accurately construct mathematical models to represent real-life situations using functions.
c. Competency
(M11GM-Ia-1): The learners represent real-life situations using functions, including piece-wise functions.
d. Values Integration: Excellence at the Service of Others
The learners are expected to demonstrate competence in solving and applying the concept of functions in
their real-life experiences through a reflection. (Elaborate)
e. Learning Outcomes
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. determine functions and relations;
2. adopt the importance and application of functions in real-life through a reflection; and
3. create an illustration of functions through mapping, diagrams, sets and graphs.
II. CONTENT
REPRESENTATION OF FUNCTIONS
III. LEARNING RESOURCES

IV. PROCEDURES Teacher’s Notes
a. Engage
Activity: Crossword Puzzle Let the students answer the crossword puzzle flash on the screen.
They will recall the topic that they encounter during their JHS
mathematics.
