Interrelationships
Due to the travel and tourism sector is made up of several of different
industries such as the transport industry, sometimes it’s mandatory for
the different organisations industry to form a partnership that’ll benefit
both of their interests. For example, a hotel can partner up with an
attraction centre. Doing this will benefit both parties as the people that
check in in the hotel will be given a discounted pass to the attraction.
This will result in more people checking themselves in at this particular
hotel as well as the attraction drawing in in more customers due to the
system that have been set up. Although the travel and tourism sector is
very competitive, sometimes the best thing to do is for the organisations
to set up links with one another that’ll help in generating more income
as well as increasing the market share for all the parties involved. There
are two types of interrelations alliances. There are those alliances that
are friendly and tend to benefit both parties. There are those alliances
that are classed as hostile. Meaning, when a smaller company is in too
deep with a bigger, more successful company, they’re risking a hostile
takeover if they like it or not.
Chain of Distribution
Chain of distribution is when you transport a product from one place to
another in order for it to reach the consumer. Basically, it’s a channel of
distribution. An example of this could be of a hotel putting a package
together and giving it to tour operators who pass it on to travel agents
