Abstract:
This case study presents a 31-year-old female with difficult-to-treat hyperthyroidism and
mild thyroid eye disease. The case explores questions related to this condition, covering
clinical signs, appropriate investigations, management, and follow-up. The patient's journey
underscores the heterogeneity of hyperthyroidism and the challenges faced in treatment.
Despite conventional anti-thyroid drug therapy, the patient's condition worsened, leading to
eventual total thyroidectomy. The case also delves into the management options for
aggressive Graves' disease.
