COMPUTATIONAL THINGKING
Computational thinking is solving problems (problem solving)
to find efficient, effective, and optimal solutions.
There are 4 stages of computational thinking :
1. Abstraction : summarize the important parts of a problem.
2. Algorithm : write automated solutions through algorithms.
3. Decomposition : formulation of the problem in such a way as to be resolved
quickly and efficiently.
4. Pattern Recognition : recognition of problem patterns, generalization, and
transferring problem solving to other similar problems.
COMPUTER SYSTEM
The computer system is divided into 3 parts :
1. Hardware :
- Input : hardware that functions to enter data and commands into the
computer. Ex : Mouse, Webcam, Pen tablet, Keyboard.
- Output : hardware that functions to output and display data that has been
processed to users. Ex : Printer, Headphone, Microphone, Monitor
- Processor : a device that processes data. Ex : CPU (Central Processing
Unit)
- Storage device : hardware for storing data.
a. Internal Storage : storage is attached to the CPU and consists of the
hard drive and RAM.
b. External Storage : removable storage that is not tied to a computer
system. Ex : CD, DVD, Flashdisk.
