There are many different health care organizations that provide care to the healthy and sick. Their purpose is to provide medical services at a lower price. United Healthcare is a healthcare organization that provides quality care to the patient population. This paper will discuss Unite Health Care standings, readiness, strategic plan and model for implementation. United Health Care United Healthcare care is a non-profit health care organization that was founded by Dr. Paul Ellwood and Richard Burke in 1977(Wang et al., 2018). Before it was renamed to United Health Care, it was previously called Health Maintenance Organization. The organization’s mission is to assist individuals in having a healthy life and engaging in innovative thinking that will lead to quality services related to healthcare (Wang et al., 2018). In 2018, United Healthcare added another 2.3 million members and produced $20 billion in revenue. Analyzing these numbers show positive trends for the healthcare organization and its ability to grow. United Healthcare offers medical benefits to all fifty states (Berchick et al., 2018). United Healthcare is working towards creating a system that is connected with more affordable care and is responsive to the needs of the community in which they serve.
