Job description
Title: Administration assistant

Description of the school: The College is one of three sixth form colleges in
Leicester and it works in partnership. Regent College is proud to be inclusive and
boasts a multicultural and diverse student population. The size of the college enables
tutors and support staff to nurture individual students and ensure their journey at the
college is a fulfilling, life-enhancing, learning experience.
Regent College is a lively, successful and culturally diverse Sixth Form College in
central Leicester. The College offers a range of academic and general vocational
courses from entry level to advanced level to around 1,000 Full Time Equivalent
students. The college offers a stimulating and supportive working environment with
excellent opportunities for professional development. All teaching staff are given a
laptop to support their work.
Purpose of the job: To provide an effective and efficient administrative support
service to all staff within the Regent College. To be responsible for the day-to-day
efficient running of the reception area at the college.
Main tasks:
1. Data entry and production of basic reports
2. Collecting assessment data
3. Maintaining a stock book
4. Maintaining uniform stocks
5. Producing class lists in response to teacher enquiries, e.g. medical
information, contact numbers, etc.
6. Checking availability of rooms when required
7. Liaising with external agencies including parents
8. Emergency services, social workers and speech therapy
9. Monitoring and controlling of visitors and assisting with the production of
school publications
Standards required:
The college is looking for someone who can deal with the students who are aged
between the age of 16 and 19, because the administration assistance will have to
deal with the students however, not only students but also the teachers and also the
parents of the students and the individual should also have good communication
skills.
Pay and benefits:
The pay will be £15,500 a year, 21 days of paid holiday annually
