M1 - differentiate between those questions that science is currently
addressing, those that science cannot yet answer and those that science will
never be able to answer:
In this assignment I will differentiate between some of the questions below, which the
scientists are currently studying, ones that the scientist can’t answer at the moment and the
ones which the scientists will never answer.
The questions scientists are currently working on:
- Is there any possible way to cure cancer?
- Is there life on other planets?
- Ways in order to prevent the damage caused to our environment?
These questions are possible to get answers to because they are quiet realistic and the
technology has evolved greatly which could be very helpful to find answers to these
.questions. The scientists have been looking at the idea of curing cancer for many years and
there have been some successful times when the scientists got to cure cancer but there
haven’t been discovered an exact way of how to overcome it.
The questions science can’t answer at the moment:
- Can humans be frozen and brought back to life in the future?
- Is there a possible way to reduce the use of fossil fuels into a friendly environment?
- Can we overcome ageing?
These questions cannot be answered at the moment because scientists don’t have a good
enough technology to do these experiments in order to find ways to answer these
questions. However, there are also issues with the first question that the scientists will need
to have volunteers to perform the experiment, but no-one wants to be frozen with the risk
that they are possibly going to die. There is no exact way to find out if the individual can
survive after they have been frozen and defrosted.
The questions which the science will never be able to answer:
- Where do we go when we die?
- Does God exist?
- Is reincarnation real?
These questions will never be answered because first of all the science doesn’t have good
enough technology to discover answers for the questions above. Also, there is no physical
way to find answers to these questions because there is no way that a human can travel
within the physical state of the human being. For example, a living person can’t travel with
the soul of the dead person to see where they go and then come back.
