, Title: Exploring Our Emotions
Objective: The objective of this lesson is to enhance children's holistic development by fostering
their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and moral skills through activities focused on
understanding and managing emotions.
Age Group: This lesson is designed for children aged 5-7 years.
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes
Materials Needed:
Hand-made emotion cards (draw or print pictures of
different facial expressions representing various
emotions)
Large chart paper or whiteboard
Markers
Construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Stickers or colored pencils
Blank paper and crayons for each child
A basket or container
Lesson Plan:
Introduction (5 minutes):
Gather the children in a circle and introduce the topic of emotions.
Ask open-ended questions such as, "How do you feel when you're happy/sad/excited?" to encourage
discussion.
Explain that emotions are a normal part of being human and that everyone experiences different feelings
throughout the day.
Physical Activity (10 minutes):
Engage the children in a physical warm-up activity like a dance or stretching routine to promote
physical development and energize their bodies.
Emotion Cards (10 minutes):
Show the hand-made emotion cards one by one to the children.
Ask the children to identify the emotions displayed on the cards and encourage them to share personal
experiences associated with those emotions.
