I expect the mentor to guide me through topics in my portfolio that I cannot do on my own. I would
like that she gives some feedback on specific areas in my portfolio.
What can the mentor expect from you?
The mentor can expect me to be in her class every day for 25 days. I will ask for assistance when I
need it. I will also need the mentor to guide me to specific areas in the school.
Reflection: How did the mentor contribute to your practical teaching experience?
The mentor helped me to specific areas in the school to get more information regarding specific
topics. She helped me during school days regarding the school procedure and what I must do.
The mentor also gave me assistance in areas in my portfolio where I needed input from a
professional teacher.

I attended City Varsity School of Media and Creative Arts in 2016 for a one-year Advanced
Certificate.


How do you manage your studies?
I am unemployed and a full- time student. I try my best to access the mymodules website regularly
along with the emails on mylife. I make a list of all the assignments that need to be done according
to the date they must be submitted. I read my textbooks and study guides before the assignments
are due, so that I can understand the questions. In my free time I spend it on reading my study
guides in order to be familiar with all concepts.
