Kernbegrippen van agogiek

Beïnvloeding

Zegt iets over wat de agoog doet, weinig over de aard, motieven en bedoeling

⇒ focus op efficiëntie
⇒ weinig aandacht voor normatieve
⇒ weinig kadering binnen maatschappelijke context

Agoog doet niet zomaar iets, maar  Beïnvloeden impliceert
- Positie innemen tov maatschappelijke
- wil beïnvloeden
structuur en orde
- wil maatschappelijke verandering
instigeren/begeleiden - in vraag stellen welke waarden en normen
belangrijk zijn voor samenleving

⇒ politieke rol van agoog: Agoog ≠ politicus, maar werkt wel steeds politiserend
➔ Politiek maken van bepaalde thema’s/groepen/…

Handelen

Zegt weinig over wat agoog doet (itt beïnvloeding)

• Handelingspotentialiteit = de manier waarop iemand kan handelen of weet te handelen.
Gaat over om kunnen met eigen leven, problemen, uitdagingen en de wereld rondom u.
• Subject (Kant)
• Actorschap en eigenaarschap: Men geeft mensen de mogelijkheid meer eigenaar te worden
van hun eigen handelen. Mensen duidelijk maken dat ze zelf kunnen beslissen.
• Empowerment (proces waarin mensen hun handelingsvermogen vergroten en hierdoor de
leefwereld uitbreiden): De agoog gaat dit handelingspotentiaal proberen versterken. Mensen
meer kracht geven etc.
• Zelfontplooiing

Handelen vooronderstelt intentionaliteit/subjectiviteit. Er gaat een verhaal schuil achter handelen –
dieperliggende betekenis ⇒ Hermeneutiek

⇒ begrijpen, interpreteren van zin, betekenis achter handelen
⇒ begrijpen van de leefwereld van mensen

Hermeneutiek

Hermeneutiek richt zich op de relatie tussen handelingscompetentie en hoe iemand zijn verhaal
kan vertellen (= narratieve competentie). Met andere woorden, hermeneutiek stelt dat het
vermogen om je intenties en betekenissen duidelijk te verwoorden, essentieel is om effectief te
kunnen handelen en je eigen leven vorm te geven. Door je bewust te zijn van wat je wilt en dit te
kunnen communiceren, kun je beter begrijpen welke acties je moet ondernemen om je doe len te
bereiken.
