Shashank Thyagi's Lakshmi Khan Series
Shashank Thyagi is starting a series on Lakshmi Khan on this
YouTube channel. The series is based on an ancient learning
practice where the relationship between master and student
was such that every component of discussion should be
absorbed into the mind of the student so that it can be readily
used. This is what you need now for Indian polity, says
Shashank.
Challenges Faced by Students
Students face problems in understanding Lakmika, which
means some topics they have good command of, but on some
topics, they miss on certain understandings. This means that
when it comes to practicing MCQs, they find that sometimes
the score is not as expected. Shashank explains how students
are not able to rationalize their time, meaning which topics are
more important. Sometimes, students are not sure which topics
are more important. Shashank advises that they have to
consider the weightage of Indian polity, which is like 18 to 24
questions out of 100. You can expect 40 marks out of 100.
Tricks and Foundation
Shashank says that tricks are secondary. Tricks are there to
increase your recalling power. First, the foundation needs to be
built. Polity is a very logical subject, which means one thing
connects to another. So, when you have a clear eye on
dynamic aspects, if certain provisions are in use again and
again, it's a clear indication that we can expect one question
from there. Shashank provides flowchart pictorial
representations, tips and tricks, and MCQs since ultimately,
this is how we need to score.
Understanding of Constitution
Shashank believes that the Constitution is considered the most
boring chapter. However, he wants his audience to understand
the logic of these provisions. He wants to explain how one
particular law connects to another particular law.
